Nordic Thermal is the entrenched European industrial heat-pump incumbent, with a large installed base and the region's deepest field-service network — the single biggest barrier to Meridian's entry. Historically limited to lower process temperatures, Nordic has just expanded its high-temperature range, which may be narrowing the entry window. Its field-service moat is harder to replicate than its product line.
